The jaw width is 4.5 inches, jaw opening is 4 inches, and throat depth is 2.625 inches. The minimum pipe capacity is .125 inches, and the maximum pipe capacity is 2 inches. The 360-degree swivel base of the Yost Vises 445 Combination Vise makes it easy to move and adjust the vise to the perfect angle for your work. The swivel base also features 2 lockdowns for added stability and security. Hand-tightening the lock knob on the base secures its position, ensuring that your vise stays in place while you work. Using the Yost Vises 445 Combination Vise is simple and easy. Make sure the vise is securely mounted to your workbench and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the vise handle counterclockwise, place your item between the serrated jaws, and then close the vise by turning the vise handle clockwise until the item is snug in the serrated jaws. Continue to tighten until you can no longer move the item, but be careful not to over tighten as this may damage the item and/or the vise. When finished working on the item, turn the screw handle counterclockwise to release it from the vise.
